A PS1-era first-person escape set in an abandoned domed moon base. The crew is gone and the lander is waiting on the surface — but the airlock won't cycle until you're in a full EVA suit, and the four suit parts are locked away. Read the crew's notes, work a keypad from the quarters roster, reset a tripped breaker bank in the right order, dial the boots maglock to cabin pressure, then arm the O₂ pack from the master code. Cross the regolith in low gravity on a ticking oxygen tank, reach the lander, and board it to escape. Free to play in your browser on desktop and mobile, no download.

How to Play Tranquility

Open the mission terminal in the dome to see which of the four suit parts you still need.

Each suit locker is a separate puzzle: the helmet keypad wants the crew quarters in wake order, the gloves bank wants its breakers thrown in sequence, the boots maglock wants the cabin-pressure dial, and the O₂ pack wants a master code built from the three other lockers’ fragments.

Read every note — each one tells you the code or order for one of the lockers.

With all four parts stowed, the airlock light turns green. Cycle it to step out onto the surface.

Outside you have a limited oxygen tank — it refills near the airlock and near the lander. Cross the regolith to the lander on the south pad and board it to escape.

Tranquility Strategy Guide

  1. Solve the three component lockers first; the O₂ master code is assembled from the fragments they print, so it has to come last.
  2. On the gloves bank, a wrong breaker resets the whole sequence — confirm the order from the note before you start throwing levers.
  3. Low-G jumps carry you far but float you slow; for a timed run, sprint flat across the surface rather than bunny-hopping.
  4. If your O₂ gets low mid-crossing, the lander pad refills it just like the airlock — push for the pad instead of turning back.
  5. The whole run is timed against the global leaderboard, so once you know the four codes, a clean no-backtrack route is what shaves seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Tranquility?

Tranquility is a free PS1-style first-person escape game set in an abandoned domed moon base, playable in your browser. The crew is gone and a lander is waiting on the surface — but the airlock will not cycle until you are wearing a full EVA suit, and the four suit parts are locked behind puzzles. Solve the lockers, cycle the airlock, then cross the lunar surface in low gravity on a limited oxygen tank to reach the lander and escape.

Is Tranquility free?

Yes, Tranquility is completely free to play in your browser. No download, no signup, no paywall.

How do you escape the moon base in Tranquility?

Read the crew’s notes — each one feeds a puzzle. The helmet keypad wants three berth numbers from the crew quarters entered in wake order, the gloves locker wants a breaker bank reset in the right sequence, the boots maglock wants the cabin-pressure dial, and the O₂ pack takes a master code assembled from fragments the other three lockers print. Suit up, cycle the airlock, and cross the regolith to the lander before your oxygen runs out.

How long does a run of Tranquility take?

A first escape usually takes ten to twenty minutes of reading notes and working out the codes. After that it becomes a speedrun: the whole run is timed against a global leaderboard, and once you know the four solutions a clean route can finish in a few minutes.

Does Tranquility work on mobile?

Yes. On phones you move with a virtual stick, look by swiping, and use on-screen buttons to interact, run, and jump. Desktop plays with WASD and mouse look.
