You’re closing up TONY’S PIZZA when the dead rise across the strip-mall parking lot. Dead Lot is a PS1-style 3D survival game with a full day/night cycle: scavenge by day, survive sieges by night. Zombies smash through doors, so board them up with scavenged planks — but noise draws the horde, and every gunshot is a flare. Switch freely between gunning zombies down on foot and turning the horde into roadkill in your delivery car. There’s a way out: find three car parts hidden around the lot, repair the car, and escape through the south gap — or keep surviving nights for score. The looted 90s video store next door is locked; its key hangs in your shop’s office.
You start on closing shift inside TONY’S PIZZA with nothing in hand. Everything you need to gear up is in the shop — grab it before you step out into the lot.
Pick up two things (press F): the car keys hung on the back wall west of the oven, and the revolver sitting on the manager’s desk in the back office. The delivery car won’t start until you’re holding the keys.
The video store next door is locked — its key hangs in your office beside the desk. It’s an optional detour, not the critical path.
Press F next to the car to get in. From here you can switch any time: drive to mow zombies down, or stop the car and step out (F again — the car must be nearly stopped) to fight on foot.
Driving: faster impacts deal more damage — a full-speed hit is an instant kill. Hold Space to handbrake-drift, hold Shift to burn NOS for a speed boost, and hit the ramp at speed to launch the car into the air. Your car has a health bar and 3 lives.
Three weapons, chosen with 1, 2 and 3. Fists are the fallback. The crowbar (behind the video store counter) is fast, hits hard and is nearly silent. The revolver holds 6 rounds, reloads in about 1.6 seconds (R) — and every shot is a flare that pulls the next wave toward you.
Where you hit matters. Head shots drop most zombies outright, body shots whittle them down, and leg shots do less damage but cripple — which is how you deal with a runner you can’t afford to kill outright.
Press T for the flashlight. The lot is genuinely dark between the lamps; the torch is how you search it, it drains while lit and recovers while off, and it browns out before it dies.
Five kinds of zombie, and the mix gets worse every night. Shamblers are the baseline. Runners close fast and have to be answered immediately. Brutes take nine body shots and don’t flinch — run, or use the car. Crawlers stay below an aim held at head height. Screamers are harmless alone, but a howl spikes the noise meter and drags the horde onto you: shoot them first, and shoot them far away.
Pickups drop as you fight: green health crosses restore HP, blue NOS canisters refill your nitrous tank.
Days are for scavenging — waves only attack after dark. Each dawn you survive banks bonus score, and sieges get bigger every night. Zombies smash through doors, so close up and board them with planks (B) when the banging starts.
There IS a way out: find the car battery (locked video store office), fuel can (by the dumpster out back), and spark plugs (far corner of the lot), press F beside your car to repair it, then drive out through the marked gap in the south barrier. Escaping banks a big bonus — or keep surviving nights for score.

On foot: WASD or arrow keys to walk, mouse to look, Shift to sprint, 1/2/3 to switch between fists, crowbar and revolver, T for the flashlight, F to pick up items or open doors, B to board a door, Space or left-click to attack, and R to reload. Driving: WASD or arrows to steer and accelerate, S or Down to brake and reverse, hold Space to drift, hold Shift for a NOS boost, and F to get out of the car.
Press Escape. Clicking the game captures the cursor so mouse-look works, and Escape releases it. Because the browser takes that first Escape for itself while the cursor is captured, pausing needs a second press: one to release the cursor, one to open the pause menu. If you would rather the game never captured the cursor at all — on a trackpad, for example — turn off Mouse-look in Settings and use click-drag to look around instead.
Three, and the difference between them is noise rather than damage. Fists are the fallback. The crowbar — behind the video store counter, so it is the reward for the locked detour — swings fast, takes most of a shambler in one hit, and barely registers on the noise meter. The revolver holds six rounds and kills at range, but every shot puts 30 on the meter and steers the next wave toward wherever you fired it.
Five, and the mix gets worse each night. Shamblers are the baseline. Runners close fast and have to be dealt with immediately. Brutes take nine body shots and never flinch — break line of sight or use the car. Crawlers stay below an aim held at head height. Screamers are barely dangerous themselves, but a howl maxes the noise meter and pulls the horde onto your position, so they are the first thing you shoot.
