How to Play Tilefall

Letters fall one at a time from the top of a 7-column grid. Move them left or right and drop them into place.

When 3 or more adjacent letters in a row or column form a valid English word, they clear and you score points.

Letter values follow Scrabble scoring. Longer words get multipliers: 4 letters = 1.5x, 5 = 2x, 6 = 3x, 7 = 5x.

When cleared tiles cause letters above to fall, they may form new words — that’s a chain combo! Each chain level adds +50% to the score.

The game speeds up over time. Keep the stack low by forming words before letters pile up. Game over when the stack reaches the top.

Tilefall Strategy Guide

1. Plan ahead using the Next preview. Place vowels where they can connect consonants into words.
2. Build horizontally first — rows are easier to complete than columns since you control horizontal placement.
3. Leave columns open for vertical words. A well-placed S, E, or D at the bottom of a column can complete words that fall into place.
4. High-value letters (J, Q, X, Z) are risky. Use them quickly in short words rather than hoping for a perfect long word.
5. Don’t let one column get too tall. An uneven stack limits your options and leads to a quick game over.
6. Chain combos are the key to high scores. Set up words that will cascade when tiles above them fall.
