Free Tycoon and Management Games in Your Browser (No Download)

Build the supply chain, run the network, watch the numbers move.

Management games are the genre browsers should be best at and usually aren't — most of what turns up is a storefront for an app install. These five run entirely in the tab, save nothing to an account, and are built around the same core pleasure: a system you can see all of, and a number you are trying to move.

Grind Valley is the supply chain one. You hunt animals, grow and harvest crops, process the raw goods into something worth more, and sell at market — then spend the profit on tools that make each of those steps faster. It runs across five isometric levels with rising quotas, so the loop tightens as you go: by the last map you are running the hunting grounds, the farm, the processing plant and the market as one continuous circuit rather than four separate errands.

Steamline is the network one, and the most strategic thing in the arcade. The track is already laid but locked behind industrial gates, so you unlock new rail corridors by building the industries that justify them — sawmills, steel mills, refineries, factories. Then you buy locomotives and dispatch them to haul raw resources to the industries that need them. It rewards planning a route map several steps ahead rather than reacting.

Koshtra is the one where the system is trying to kill you. It is a real-time strategy game in the classic mould: workers on the gold and the woods, steadings to raise your supply cap, a war hall, and an army you march at the other side's keep. It borrows its world from The Worm Ouroboros, E. R. Eddison's 1922 epic — Demonland against Witchland — which is old enough to be nobody's property and strange enough to be worth the borrowing. The opponent expands and attacks under exactly the rules you do, with no extra resources, vision or speed at any difficulty, so beating it on Hard means outplaying it rather than out-grinding a handicap.

Sol Program is the one with real physics underneath. You run a space program: design a multi-stage rocket and watch its delta-v and thrust-to-weight decide whether it can fly the mission, then fly it yourself off the pad through a gravity turn to orbit. Trajectories are real Keplerian conics, so a maneuver node draws the exact orbit your burn will produce before you commit to it. Fourteen missions take you from a 25 km hop to landings on Luna, Mars, Phobos, Europa and Titan. It is the hardest game on this page and the one that teaches you something.

Turret Siege is the short-session pick. A colony on a hostile alien world, a fixed path the swarm walks down, and four unit types — Marines, Demolishers, Cryo Techs, Plasma Gunners — to place and upgrade along it. Classic tower defense structure, so you can finish a wave in the time it takes the others to load a save.

Start with Turret Siege if you have ten minutes and Grind Valley if you have an hour. Steamline is the one to play when you want to plan rather than react, Koshtra when you want something actively fighting back, and Sol Program when you want the game to be genuinely difficult.
